About Us

My family and I started down this journey December of 2017, based off our pure love for Labrador Retrievers and excitement for finding a new furry friend, companion, family member and hunting buddy. We were fortunate enough to have purchased some land to share and wanted to find the right fit for our family. I’ve had retrievers all my life and love working with these incredible loyal animals. In February of 2018, we welcomed our newest member to the family an 8 week old puppy named Beauregard “Bo” Brown. From an 8-week-old puppy until now - he has shown our family how important it is to raise and maintain a strong line of healthy and tractable dogs by protecting and improving their pedigree. My love for the Labrardor took on a whole new meaning when we committed to the American Kennel Club (AKC) guidance and practices as a solid and premier  "Bred with H.E.A.R.T " breeder following and applying their standards and definitions of Labrador Retrievers and all AKC recognized standard colors and dilute/dilute factored.  Through our solid work ethics, passion, and desire to do things the right way, the Pau Hana Farm Family formed Kailani Labradors, LLC  located in Carthage, NC in a small equestrian neighborhood. We're growing rapidly by adding multiple strong pedigreed dams and one additional sire to our farm family and breeding program. Some of our dogs are off to hunt school seeking AKC and UKC titles (which can take several months if not years), while others have entered into our breeding program.  Watching Gods miracles at work confirmed our reasons for entering into this amazing journey and full commitment to our Labradors, Customers, AKC and UKC. Our kids, family and friends are all involved in bringing these new bundles of joy into our world looking for the best qualified homes for continued growth, wellness and happiness. 

Oh yes, you know that cute puppy named Bo who got us into this back in December 2017, he's now an AKC Master Hunter (MH) and UKC  Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH)  who has his eyes set on competing at all levels, hunting, siring litters, running the kennel and snuggling up with the family! What an AWESOME loyal friend to have!  We are blessed! Look for him in the near future as we run him in the AKC Master National and UKC Grand.   

Where did the word "Kailani" come from ? My family was stationed at Hickam, AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is where I was born. I captured my proud birth state within the name of our business. Kailani means – “Heavenly, Sea and Sky.”  

A special and deep heartfelt thanks goes out to all that have served and currently serving our GREAT country. Freedom is NOT free! My dad Phil Brown served in the USAF for 24yrs. He is now enjoying his retirement in his 80's. I sure love my dad and very proud of his career and accomplishments. My Mom is the glue that keeps our family together, happy, laughing, safe, well fed with lots of love. I'm one lucky man! Love you too mom!
